The Devel Sixteen hypercar is set to see its production-spec debut by the end of 2019. After being conceptualised in 2006 the hypercar has been in development for over 10 years and boasts a 12.3-litre turbocharged V16 engine that is estimated to hit an outstanding 320 mph.
The Devel Sixteen has been claimed to have a two-year waiting list as well as the Dubai-based developers stating they are selective about their buyers. For those who can handle the 5007 horsepower engine, the Sixteen holds a $2.2 million price tag which converts to roughly 1.6 million British pounds.
As well as the $2.2 million model, the hypercar is also available as an entry-level model, which is rated at 2000 horsepower and is priced for $1.6 million. Another variant of the Sixteen holds a 3000 horsepower engine, which costs $1.87 million.
Recently, the car was displayed at the 2019 Canadian International Auto Show alongside many other cars from brands such as Porsche, Bugatti, Mercedes and Nissan. The Devel Sixteen when released will be the fastest car in the world and will hold three times the power of the 8.0-litre quad turbo W16 of the Bugatti Chiron.
It is safe to say the Devel Sixteen is set to impress us all. The start-up company from Dubai, have teased car lovers with an Instagram post of the Sixteen in the desert. They state the driver was only using 20% of the throttle with the engine on low boost, showing us the cars sublime capabilities.
