The Lamborghini Urus Performante takes the already powerful S variant and elevates it to new heights with lightweight measures and a performance-focused suspension and tire package. Like the S, it features height-adjustable adaptive air springs, active anti-roll bars, torque-vectoring rear differential, and a rear-wheel steering system. The Performante features a powerful 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine and eight-speed automatic gearbox, expertly tuned to deliver an impressive 657 hp.

Emphasizing its performance-oriented nature, the Performante maintains a fixed lower height, sitting 0.8 inches lower than the Urus S and matching the S’s aggressive aero posture at high speeds.

The carbon-ceramic brakes demonstrate exceptional performance, effectively halting the car with ease. The Performante achieves impressive stopping distances at the track, outperforming the Turbo GT significantly. While the Performante excels on smooth pavement, its tuning leans toward track optimization, making it less suited for bumpy mountain roads. The aggressive rebound damping restricts the suspension’s ability to absorb bumps, resulting in a less refined ride.

Inside, the interior is intriguing, featuring a striking design that quickly grows on you. The test model included various carbon-fiber trims seamlessly integrated into the overall aesthetic. The dual-screen center stack is logical, albeit with a slightly small upper infotainment screen. Unique elements such as the dual Anima drive mode selectors and distinctive shift lever add to the overall appeal, making sense within the Lamborghini context.
